Software Engineer (back-end)

Join the team responsible for scaling the throughput and performance of the backend job processing system and code execution engines that power Tines' intelligent workflows. This role extends beyond coding to shaping technical direction, product, and culture within a collaborative engineering team. You can work fully remotely from anywhere in Ireland, with optional access to Dublin office space.

Key Responsibilities

• Influence technical direction for critical systems
• Deploy production changes within minutes of merging code
• Shape job and code execution at the core of the application
• Write and review high-quality, well-tested code
• Identify improvements in the codebase and team processes
• Own problems through to production, responding to customer feedback

Potential Projects

• Build high-availability systems supporting massive data throughput
• Improve action throughput for scaling customers
• Create job prioritization controls for workflow execution
• Build customer code execution features
• Ensure fair, balanced job execution in multitenant stacks
• Share engineering learnings via blog posts

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Background in Linux systems, container runtimes, filesystems, low-level system primitives, or debugging
• Willingness to work across the full stack when needed
• Focus on solving important problems pragmatically
• Collaborative, inclusive approach to teamwork
